Essex is a wonderful county to live in and it is easy to find irresistible subjects to paint. It contains exceptional examples of pretty cottages, fine manor houses, beautiful churches, impressive castles and many splendid wind and watermills, which are my favourite subjects to paint.
Historic towns and villages have grown up alongside tidal creeks, by ancient forest and within farm and meadowland.
Above all, it is its simplicity and seeming reluctance to broadcast itself as somewhere special that fuels my passion for the 'BEAUTY OF ESSEX'."
